Senior Spotlight: Amelia German

Amelia German is a member of Oak Hall’s varsity girls basketball team, and the varsity girls tennis team!

A – Advice you’d give your freshman-self? To not think about what other people think about me too much.
B – Best pre-match meal? Chic-Fil-A.
C – Coach’s best words of advice? To go through the shot and just continue on to the next one.
D – Favorite dessert? Cake.
E – Most entertaining practice? When we were playing the game with the “I” formation and we had to duck below the net.
F – Favorite high school athletic moment? Winning districts.
G – Goals for your senior season? To play and make it into the next levels.
H – Hoping to attend (which college)? I want to go to LECOM [Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine] early acceptance program for dental school.
I – Interesting thing about you away from tennis? I really enjoy playing music.
J – Favorite joke? Why did the duck cross the road… cause the chicken didn’t want to!
K – Keys to maintaining homework? Doing it ahead of time and don’t procrastinate.
L – Least favorite practice drill? The ball toss one.
M – Music you listen to? I listen to all types of music like pop.
N – Netflix or Hulu? Hulu.
O – Outside hobbies (other than swimming)? I also play basketball and I like to hang out with my family.
P – Preparations for a big match include? A pep-talk.
Q – Question you would ask your future self? Do you have a Tesla yet.
R – Most relaxing part of your day? Driving home from school.
S – What would your senior superlative be? Being the loudest.
T – Favorite TV show? Brooklyn Nine-Nine
U – Most underrated pet? A chinchilla.
V – Favorite vacation spot? On a cruise.
W – What does it mean to you to be an Eagle? It means having a sense of community and people who will support you through everything.
X – Any X-rays? Yeah, on my ankle.
Y– Your impact to the younger athletes on the team? To support them and encourage them to do their best.
Z – Favorite zoo animal? Monkey.
