This week is Thanksgiving Break, a time when Oak Hall students, faculty, and staff relax and spend time with their families. Most importantly, this week we recognize all the things we are thankful for. Thanksgiving is a wonderful holiday because, while families have their own traditions, we all celebrate and recognize the amazing people, food, and things we have. Here are some things our Eagles are thankful for, and their plans for Thanksgiving.
Colson W., Kindergarten: “I’m going to eat a lot of stuffing and mashed potatoes. Do you know what I mean by stuffing? I’m going to stuff my belly with food! Get it?”
Tessa T., First Grade: “I am thankful for Unikitty!”
Caitlin B., Third Grade: “I’m thankful for having friends and family! I’m thankful that I have a great mom and dad, and that they’re really great parents, and I’m thankful I get to go to this great school and I have great friends. We eat food like mashed potatoes and turkey and some more stuff.”

Holden W., Third Grade: “I am thankful for my family, money, and Minecraft! I’m playing in a Turkey Bowl with my dad and family on Wednesday, and having dinner with my mom on Thanksgiving.”
Asha T., Fourth Grade: “I am thankful for my family…even my sister.”
Ave Scorpio, Eighth Grade: “I’m thankful for my family, my friends, and especially food. I’m going to the Keys over the break.”

Maggie Fogler, Eighth Grade: “I’m so thankful for my family, my friends, my dogs, and lots of other things. We are going to the lake with lots of family for Thanksgiving.”
Zahra Sims, Freshman: “I am thankful for my family, my cheer team, and mac and cheese. I’m going to Miami over the break.”
Hayden McLendon, Senior: “I’m thankful for my family, my friends, and time away from school.”

R.J. Fuhr, Upper School Dean: “I’m thankful for my wife and kids, and my life in general!”
Kylie Holland, Second Grade Teacher: “I am thankful for my family, friends, and all of my amazing students and colleagues. Our plans for Thanksgiving are to go to St. Augustine for a few days.”
Have a fun and safe break and we will see you in December!
