Oak Hall’s Eagle Fest, formerly known as “Carnival”, is taking place this Friday, Nov. 15, from 3-7 p.m. Because of the many booths, games, and inflatables, Eagle Fest spans over numerous fields behind the gym, the football stadium, and inside the gym itself.
According to Sara Ben-Shoshan, Eagle Fest Chair, the name was altered for a few reasons. “We made a lot of changes to make sure students in the Middle and Upper School had activities geared toward their age ranges. By changing the name to Eagle Fest it signified a whole school event,” she said. In the past, “Carnival” had a different theme each year, which altered the logo and the marketing tools used to promote the event.
This year’s Eagle Fest will have some of the popular attractions back from last year, such as Hippo Chow Down, Toxic Meltdown, Bubble Ball Soccer, and the infamous Cake Walk. The Dunk Tank is also back by popular demand. The participants for this year are:
3:30 – 4:00 – Coach Ashley Murray
4:00 – 4:30 – Jackson Rogers
4:30 – 5:00 – Kaleb Sadler
5:00 – 5:30 – Chris Leidy
5:30 – 6:00 – Brett Anderson
6:00 – 6:30 – David Jackson
6:30 – 7:00 – Coach James Moon
There are a few new attractions at Eagle Fest, including Plinko, and a four-person bungee trampoline. Prizes for some of the games, like the Wheel of WOW, now have two options for winners (a plush eagle or an Oak Hall pop-socket).
PDQ, Dominos, and BTW will also be on hand, along with an adult beverage booth and the always popular Snack Shack.
