On Oct. 14, Oak Hall’s varsity boys and girls golf teams played at the district tournament, located at the Mark Bostik – UF Golf Course.
The girls team, which includes Ava Storoe, Amanda Malnik, Elle Storoe, Sofia Guico, and Chia Lin Wang, won its district tournament with a team score of 394. Playing against teams from Chiefland, Trenton, and Newberry High Schools, and individuals from Bell High School and P.K. Yonge, the Lady Eagles were definitely on par with their shots today. According to the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA), only the lowest four scores on a team are counted toward the team score. Next up for the district champs is the regional tournament on Oct. 21 at Timacuan Golf and Country Club in Lake Mary.
